Radiomarathon Australia continues to extend its support to organisations that facilitate the learning and therapy required by children with physical and mental disabilities.
In recent months, Radiomarathon has made several donations. The following are some of the organisations that have received support from Radiomarathon in the first quarter of 2009.
Murdoch Children’s Research Institute received a donation of $12,000 from Radiomarathon. The Institute develops ways to prevent and treat conditions affecting babies, children and adolescents, helping them lead healthy lives. It conducts world-class research into a number of childhood conditions including heart diseases, arthritis, cancer, cerebral palsy, thalassaemia and other genetic disorders. Radiomarathon and Laiki Bank have been supporting research into thalassaemia at the Institute for a number of years.
